Unity Walk Public Art Restoration Project
Unity Walk Tile Columns by George Woideck

The Unity Walk project was the restoration and re-creation of a work of public art originally made in 1996 by another artist to celebrate Cleveland's Bicentennial. Because of the poor initial installation the work had severely deteriorated. The 960 12" tiles were made by hundreds of middle school students from across the economic spectrum and are meant to represent symbols of their own personalities. The restoration was sponsored by the Gund Foundation with the participation of Young Audiences and Cleveland Public Art.
